My Tasks

Last updated on Aug 10, 2026

Overview

My Tasks is your personal view of the work you own, pulled together from every project into one place. Open it first thing to see what is on your plate without hunting through individual projects.

Navigate to: Axis → Project Management → My Tasks

The four views

The same tasks appear in four views. Switch between them with the toggle near the top.

View What it shows Best for
List A sortable table of every task Scanning everything and sorting by any column
Kanban Tasks as cards in columns by status Managing flow and dragging tasks between stages
Calendar Tasks placed on a monthly calendar Planning around due dates
Timeline Tasks as bars across a date range Seeing how work spans days and weeks

Every view shares the same controls: search, assignee filter, filter, group, and export, plus Add Task to create one by hand.

List view

List shows each task with its parent project, status, assignees, priority, and dates. Because every task carries its project, you read work from all your projects in one table.

Use Manage Fields, the columns icon, to choose which columns show. Task Name stays fixed. Project, Description, Date Created, Status, Assignees, Priority, and more toggle on or off, so you shape the table to what you care about.

Kanban view

Kanban shows tasks as cards in columns by status, each column with a live count. Drag a card between columns to change its status. An empty In Review column or a crowded Blocked one tells you at a glance where work sits.

Use Add Column, the plus icon, to create a custom status column beyond the standard set, when your team's workflow needs a stage the defaults do not cover.

Group the board by Status, Assignee, or Priority to rearrange how cards cluster.

Calendar and Timeline views

Calendar places tasks on a monthly grid as colored bars spanning their dates, so deadlines and overlaps are visible at once. Move between months with the arrows, or jump back with Today.

Timeline lays tasks out as bars across a continuous date range, with each task's status and assignee shown beside it, for reading how work is scheduled across weeks. A status legend runs along the bottom.

Filtering, grouping, and finding tasks

Search finds a task by name.

Assignee filter. The avatar row near the search box filters the view to specific people. Click an avatar to narrow to their tasks. Use the plus to open the full people list and add others to the filter.

Filter narrows by Status, Priority, or Due Date.

Group By clusters tasks by None, Status, Assignee, or Priority, so the view matches how you think about the work.

Export pulls the current view out for reporting or sharing.

Working with tasks

Create a task. Click Add Task, then set its name, status, assignee, priority, and dates.

Search. Use the search box to find a task by name.

Filter by assignee. The avatar row near the search box filters the view to specific people. Click an avatar to narrow to their tasks, or use the plus to add more people to the filter.

Group. Use Group By to cluster tasks, for example by status, so the view matches how you think about the work.

Export. Use Export to pull the current view out for reporting or sharing.

The activity feed

The activity icon opens a running log of what has happened on your tasks: assignments, comments, mentions, and flags. Filter it For You to see only what involves you, or All for everything, and narrow to comments, mentions, attachments, or flags.

Use it to catch up on what changed since you last looked, for example who assigned you a task and when.

Task statuses

Tasks move through five standard statuses, shown as Kanban columns and as colors elsewhere.

Status Meaning
Not Started Created but not begun
In Progress Being worked on now
In Review Work done, awaiting review
Completed Finished
Blocked Stalled on a dependency

Teams can add custom status columns in Kanban when their workflow needs more stages.

Reading status at a glance

In Kanban, each status is its own column with a live count, so an empty In Review column or a crowded Blocked column tells you where work is piling up. You can update the "Group By" option to assignee or priority in addition to status and this updates the column view from status to the option that you've selected. In Calendar and Timeline, status shows as color, using the same five-status key across the module.

What to check and when

Situation Do this
Planning your day Open List or Kanban and read what is Not Started and In Progress
Something is stuck Look at the Blocked column in Kanban and clear the dependency
Planning around deadlines Switch to Calendar to see what is due when
Reporting your workload Filter to yourself, then Export

Troubleshooting

Issue Check
No tasks appear You may have an assignee filter active. Clear the avatar filter to see everything
A task is missing Confirm it was assigned to you. Tasks assigned to others show in their My Tasks, not yours
Dates look wrong Task dates follow your account timezone, set in System Settings
