Create Performance Reports

Overview

Performance Reports allow users to build detailed, customizable reports using selected categories, sources, dimensions, attributes, and metrics.

These reports help users analyze business performance across multiple platforms such as:

  • Shopify

  • Meta Ads

  • Google Ads

  • TikTok Ads

  • Klaviyo

  • LayerFive

Users can create reports using templates, duplicate existing reports, or build reports entirely from scratch.


Creating a New Report

To create a new report:

  1. Navigate to Performance Reports

  2. Click Create

The Create New Report modal appears.


Report Creation Methods

Users can create reports using three different methods.

Start with Template

Use predefined report templates provided by the system. This option helps users quickly generate commonly used reports. Available Templates examples include: Klaviyo Report, LayerFive Report, TikTok Ads Report, Meta Ads Report, Google Ads Report, Shopify Report.

Start with Copy

Duplicate an existing report configuration. This option is useful for creating variations of existing reports.

Start from Scratch

Create a completely custom report without predefined settings. This provides maximum flexibility.


Report Configuration

The Report Configuration section contains the core report setup options.

Report Title - Enter a unique report name.

Report Description - Provide a short explanation of the report purpose.

Current Selection Panel

The Current Selection panel displays all currently selected:

  • Categories

  • Sources

  • Metrics

This provides a quick overview of the report configuration.

Categories

Categories help organize data by business function.

Available Categories

Examples include:

  • Commerce

  • Paid Media

  • Analytics/Attribution

  • Email/SMS

  • Membership/Subscriptions

Selecting Categories

  1. Select one or more categories

  2. Related sources automatically become available

Sources

Sources represent the connected data platforms used in the report.

Available Sources

Examples include:

  • Shopify

  • Meta Ads

  • Google Ads

  • TikTok Ads

  • Klaviyo

Selecting Sources

  1. Choose one or more sources

  2. Available metrics update dynamically


Group By Options

The Group By setting controls report aggregation intervals.

Available Group By Options

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

  • Quarterly

  • Yearly

Dimensions

Dimensions define how report data is categorized.

Example Dimensions

  • Orders

  • Campaign

  • Ad Set

  • Product

  • Country

Attributes

Attributes provide additional detail within dimensions.

Example Attributes

  • Order ID

  • Campaign Name

  • Product SKU

  • Device Type


Metrics

Metrics are the measurable values included in reports.

Available Shopify Metrics

Examples include:

  • Gross Sales

  • Net Sales

  • Total Orders

  • Returning Customers

  • Total Discounts

  • Total Returns

  • Total Shipping Charges

  • Total Tax

  • Inventory Item Cost


Creating the Report

Once configuration is complete:

  1. Review all selected options

  2. Click Create Report

The report is generated and saved.


Reset Configuration

Users can reset all report selections using the Reset Configuration option

This clears: Categories, Sources, Metrics, Dimensions, and Attributes


Common Use Cases

Ecommerce Reporting

Track:

  • Gross Sales

  • Net Sales

  • Orders

  • Returns

  • Customer trends

Advertising Performance

Analyze:

  • ROAS

  • CPA

  • CTR

  • CPM

  • Conversion rates

Attribution Analysis

Evaluate channel contribution across customer journeys.

Executive Reporting

Create high-level summary reports for leadership review.

Troubleshooting

Metrics Not Appearing

Verify:

  • Categories are selected

  • Sources are selected

  • Metrics belong to selected sources

Unable to Create Report

Ensure:

  • Report title is entered

  • At least one metric is selected

  • Required fields are completed

Empty Report Results

Check:

  • Date range configuration

  • Connected data source status

  • Metric compatibility

Source Not Available

Verify:

  • Source integration is connected

  • User permissions are enabled
